Options for Hiding Chats in Honista
The privacy of your chats is something we care about, so the Hide Chats feature has been developed along with a number of options related to chats and how to secure them, as follows:
- Lock: After hiding chats, you can prevent access to them by setting a secret code for them or locking them with a fingerprint.
- Notifications: You have the freedom to enable showing notifications from hidden chats without displaying the sender's name or message content, and you can turn off notifications permanently for all hidden chats.
- Hidden Chats Button: This is the button you click on to show your hidden chats. You can hide it and simply long-press on the search bar in your chats screen to unlock it.
- Show Hidden Chats: This works to display all your hidden chats on the main chats screen, and when Honista is restarted, they will be hidden again.
Accessing Hidden Chats Options
- Open Honista.
- Click on the gear icon to open Settings > Privacy.
- Scroll down a bit to find the Hide Chats tab and its options.
